PK Rumford completes phase in the Rumford Center restoration

According to PK Rumford LLC, the next phase of the Rumford Center project is complete. The raising of the Blade Sign was completed on December 7th. The sign was constructed in a 8 month process that began in April 8. Designed by Mary Lovezzola of Iris Messenger and fabricated by Metro Sign and Awning, the sign weighs a total of 1,800 pounds. It stands over 30 feet tall and 10 feet thick. Although traditional in design, at night the sign is illuminated by over 900 LED Module lights. The sign is an extruded aluminum frame with a steel support structure for mounting to the side of the building. PK Rumford, developers of the project, is a partnership of the Peregrine Group and Kirkbrae Development Corp.
