O'Connor named director of development - New England at The Dolben Company, Inc.

According to The Dolben Company, Inc., a full-service Boston-based real estate company, John O'Connor has been promoted to the role of director of development - New England. O'Connor joined Dolben in 1999 as a regional property manager. He quickly realized his true interest was on the development side of the business, and transferred in the fall of 2000. During this time, he worked on a number of projects, totaling more than 1,500 units. These projects include Summit Place (Methuen, MA), Kensington at Chelmsford (Chelmsford, MA), Independence Place (Cranston, R.I.), and The Ledges at Johnston (Johnston, R.I.). More recently, he has been managing the development of several new construction projects in Revere, Randolph, and North Andover, Mass. In addition, O'Connor has taken on a key role as development agent for a third party client, working on the construction of student housing at the University of New Hampshire. Andrew Dolben, executive vice president, said, "In his sixteen years with the company, John has worn many hats, and his strong background in both development and property management has benefited our company immensely. In his new role as director of development, O'Connor will continue to play an important role in overseeing our development projects in the New England region. We are delighted to be able to provide him with this opportunity for continued growth." O'Connor has his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Southeastern Massachusetts University. He has earned his Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor's License, and also holds the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation from the National Apartment Association, as well as the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation from the National Association of Home Builders. With offices in Massachusetts and Maryland and more than 12,500 residential units throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions, The Dolben Company, Inc. is built on a deep heritage of performance and stewardship. Since 1929, four generations of the Dolben family have upheld a proud tradition of unparalleled success and profitability, fulfilling the property and investment needs for a wide array of businesses, financial institutions, organizations and private investors.
