Northbridge Companies' Stafford Hill Assisted Living community for seniors opens November 5th
According to The Northbridge Companies, a developer and operator of senior housing in New England, Stafford Hill Assisted Living, an 85-apartment assisted living and memory care community for seniors opened on November 5, 2007 at 55% reserved.
Located at 60 Stafford St., Stafford Hill is the first assisted living community to open on the South Shore in at least seven years. Taking advantage of the latest technology and design considerations, the physical and operational makeup of the community was derived from Northbridge's SeniorGreen Program, environmentally sound initiatives such as energy and water conservation, recycling, and utilization of renewable resources. Northbridge has also instituted The S.T.A.R. Program (Sharp Thinking Active Residents), a comprehensive activity program for residents as well as The Brain Gym, a suite of innovative software and behavioral programs to enhance cognitive well-being of the residents.

Stafford Hill Assisted Living is the first of a two-phase senior living campus which the Northbridge Companies is developing. The second phase, set to begin construction in early 2008 is The Residences at Stafford Hill, an independent living building of 48 apartments located adjacent to the assisted living building. The campus will serve as a residential setting for seniors offering a full continuum of care.
The Northbridge Companies develops, owns and manages quality senior living communities throughout New England. The company has capitalized the acquisition/disposition of $140 million in senior housing assets, operates over 322 assisted living units and owns and develops over 200 units of active adult housing.
