NH CIBOR president's message - Stay involved: It is important for you and your business - by Scott Forte

Scott Forte

The first month of 2022 is officially behind us. While there was some negative movement in the stock market, the real estate market is still going strong. Going forward in 2022 investors may be looking to divest funds from the traditional stock market and re-invest into hard real estate assets. With interest rates and inventory still at all time lows, and demand at an all time high, we still are seeing stability in the market.

It’s important for all Americans to stay involved in what is going on politically. There are a number of bills that are currently being reviewed that could impact the real estate market. Our public policy committee and NHAR are keeping their finger on the pulse. Don’t let their hard work turn into white noise and pass you by. Please take the 60 seconds it takes to review the information they have gathered and analyzed for us. Some emails you see will have a simple Call-To-Action allowing you, with one click, to email your elected officials. We thank the public policy committee for the tireless work they do for us and the real estate industry.

NH CIBOR is a leading voice locally, at state level and nationally. Our views and voices are respected by our peers across the country, our elected officials, and throughout the Realtor organization. If you would like to get more involved in shaping the future of the industry, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, any CIBOR board member, or any committee member.

November 2024 NH CIBOR president’s message: 10 tips for commercial real estate investors - by Ethan Ash

While many Realtors will tell you what you need to do in order to sell your residential property at the highest price (clean out the junk, update bathrooms and kitchens, paint, etc.) most people don’t get easy to follow guidance on what to do to help your commercial real estate sale. Interest rates and inflation - by Matthew Bacon

As we all know, interest rates have been changing drastically, with movement in both directions, depending on the type and term of financing. The Federal Open Market Committee has taken drastic action in efforts to curb abnormally high inflation, but it hasn’t controlled labor cost growth to the extent that was intended.
