New England Land Title Association to hold spring seminar and 49th annual meeting and convention

Concord, NH The New England Land Title Association (NELTA) will hold the following events: 

Spring Seminar – “The Nuts & Bolts of Mechanics Liens” for NH and ME

This seminar will address mechanics liens in New Hampshire and Maine from both the title and title insurance aspects, as well as from the perspective of the contractor. 

This seminar will be held on May 16 from 9 a.m. - 12:00 noon  with registration from 8:30-9:00 a.m. at UNH School of Law, Room 200, 2 White St.

Speakers: Andrew Turbide, Stewart Title Guaranty Co.; David Jones, Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry; and Roy Tilsley, Jr., Bernstein Shur.

NELTA’s 49th Annual Meeting and Convention 

This will be held at Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth on Cape Cod, Mass., from June 13 - 16.  Seminar Programs will Include: “Working with Lenders - New Closing Instructions and Title Requests,” with Ruth Dillingham, Esq., NTP, of Dillingham Law, LLC and Melanie Kido, Esq., V.P. & MA State Counsel, CATIC;  “The State of the State of Digital Closings,” with Carrie Rainen, Esq., Rainen Law, and Elizabeth Blosser, Alta Director of Grassroots & State Government Affairs;  “ALTA Update,” with ALTA president-elect Mary O’Donnell; and “For Every Action There is an Equal and Opposite Reaction – The Outlook for Real Estate and the Economy,” with Stewart Title’s chief economist Ted Jones.
