NECA appoints Morrell as director of education & outreach

West Newton, MA According to the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Greater Boston Chapter, a leading electrical construction industry organization, Walter Morrell has joined the chapter as its director of education and outreach.

Morrell will oversee NECA Boston’s management development educational program for member contractors and their professional teams. The robust and expanding NECA educational program includes courses on business management (financial, legal and marketing), project management, safety, new technologies, and foreman training.

Morrell also will be instrumental in administering the chapter’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including mentoring and training outreach programs directed toward minority-owned and woman-owned NECA contractors.

Prior to joining the NECA Boston staff, Morrell served as the Northeast and Florida operations manager for Road Scholar, a Boston-based non-profit organization that provides travel and outreach educational programs for 55+ adult learners.

A resident of Salem, Mass., Morrell earned his BA from St. Lawrence University.
