NAWIC Boston chapter to celebrate 50th anniv.

As NAWIC Boston Chapter #15 proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2008-2009 with outstanding dinner and networking events, the group feels fortunate to have had a variety of highly qualified professionals volunteer their time to present excellent programs to our membership over the years. The 2009 spring schedule is no exception. In February, David Perini, the commissioner of the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM), spoke about DCAM's purpose, their current status, and their role in helping to create the Massachusetts list of "shovel ready" projects. On March 17th the topic of building information modeling will be discussed with a panel of experts involved in this popular new technology. Join in on April 23rd to help raise money for NAWIC's scholarship fund at our Fourth Annual Bowling Fundraiser at Boston Bowl. Sponsorship opportunities are available and participation is welcome! May 19th is a panel discussion to address the job hunt in these difficult economic times. On June 16th we will welcome back a longtime friend of NAWIC, Lynn Donohue, founder of Argus Construction, author of Brick by Brick: A Woman's Journey, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. Donohue will be the honored guest speaker at our Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony. In the summer, we plan to hold a "Summer Networking Social." Events are typically held at Wentworth Institute of Technology the third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. For more information on these events or to lecture at one of our dinner meetings, please email me at ahutchins@payette.com. Amy Hutchins, Assoc. AIA is an architectural designer at Payette, Boston, Mass.
