National Development hires Briggs and Rollins as senior vice presidents

Newton, MA According to National Development, the firm has hired two new senior vice presidents, Don Briggs and Charlie Rollins, to its development group.

Briggs comes to National Development from Eastern Real Estate where he was managing director – real estate. Prior to Eastern, he held senior management positions at Federal Realty Investment Trust and Urban Edge Properties leading multi-disciplined teams and a multi-billion-dollar development pipeline.

Rollins has extensive experience in the design and construction of complex, mixed-use development projects in New England and throughout the East Coast. In his most recent position, he was responsible for managing Suffolk Construction’s operation in the Florida/Southeast market. Prior to that, he oversaw Water Street Tampa, a transformative $3.5 billion mixed-use development.

while a project executive for developer Strategic Property Partners. His prior positions include a senior construction and development role in Boston at Samuels & Associates.

According to Ed Marsteiner, managing partner at National Development, “The addition of Don and Charlie both strengthens the commitment to our extensive pipeline of exciting, mixed-use developments in New England and directly supports the deployment of our recently raised ND Fund V in the years ahead. We are thrilled to bring their experience and leadership to the ND team.”
