Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International brokers more deals on Jamestown

Jamestown, RI Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty negotiated a series of luxury sales on the island town. The firm, with more than $30 million total sales volume in Jamestown year-to-date, has sold three of the top five most expensive homes and four of the top ten most expensive homes in Jamestown in 2021.

Nicole Carstensen, sales associate of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, represented the sellers and facilitated the sale on behalf of the buyers of 147 Beavertail Rd. The classic coastal home in Mackerel Cove sold for $4.5 million and is the highest sale in Jamestown this year, according to data available from the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service.

The home at 1076 East Shore Rd. sold for $3.595 million. Nicole Carstensen and Jack Teeden, sales associate, represented the sellers and facilitated the sale on behalf of the buyers. Circa 1885, this historic property was once Jamestown’s Conanicut Park as well as the Jamestown Inn. According to data available from the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service, this is the fourth highest sale in Jamestown this year.

Earlier this month, a home in the West Reach neighborhood sold for $2.85 million. The seller was represented by Linda Supron, broker associate, and the buyer was represented by Alyce Kleczek, sales associate. According to data available from the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service, this is the sixth highest sale in Jamestown this year. Agents with the firm have represented nine clients in the top ten sales in the municipality year to date.

Nicole Carstensen and Linda Supron are currently the top two agents in Jamestown by total volume this year. Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty has over 23% of the market share – more than any other firm.

“I am grateful to have had the pleasure of representing some of the most incredible waterfront homes in desirable Jamestown,” said Carstensen. “Buyers are thrilled to be able to enjoy the island seasonally as well as year round. Inventory continues to be low, and many more people would love to call this home. For those considering selling now is the time.”

“We are so proud of our remarkable market share in Jamestown,” said Judy Chace, broker/co-owner of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. “Our young firm excels because of our innovative technology and unrivaled service.”

In 2020, Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty had 42% of the market share in Jamestown for properties over $3 million. Agents with the firm represented six clients in the top ten sales in the municipality. In August of 2020 the firm set a record for the highest sale in Jamestown in MLS history with the sale of 260 Beavertail Rd. The previous highest sale in Jamestown was 609 Beavertail Rd., which was also sold by Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty in June 2019.
