Moe Mozier, former Realtor with Re/Max Town and Country - 77

Moe Mozier, Realtor and restaurateur, died August 25 He was 77. Mozier's death came as the result of injuries sustained during a serious July cycling accident in Langdon. Mozier was born August 30, 1932 in Boston. He was a graduate of Pembroke Academy and the University of New Hampshire, and served in the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force. Following UNH, he established a reputation in the food service industry, operating the food and beverage service at three major Vermont ski areas: Haystack, Mt. Snow, and Stratton Mountain. He opened the original Holiday Inn in Brattleboro. Mozier began to purchase bankrupt and/or troubled restaurants, revamped and revitalized them, and then sold them. He is best known in Keene for his renovation of an historic Main St. property into Henry David's, one of the Monadnock Region's most popular gathering spots. He also served as president of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association. Following the sale of Henry David's, Mozier obtained his Realtor's license and for the past 20 years has been a Realtor at Re/Max Town and Country in Keene. He is in the Re/Max Hall of Fame; was the 2007 president of the Monadnock Region Board of Realtors and in 2008 was named "Realtor of the Year". Mozier was an active member of his community, and has previously served as president of Keene Downtown Development Corp, vice president of Keene Downtown Housing Corp, Keene Property Association executive board member, Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce and Keene Beautification Committee. A memorial was held on September 1 in Keene.
