McKinnon of The Grossman Companies, Inc. renews 846 s/f lease in Hingham
Kim Sylvester, owner of Maggie's Dog House, dog boutique and bakery, in Hingham Square, has renewed the shop's lease in the Pride Building at 17 Main St. where she opened in 2008.
Making the announcement was Richard McKinnon, director of brokerage services at The Grossman Companies, Inc., of Quincy, Mass., (www.grossmanco.com) who represented the landlord, Hingham Square LLC, and the tenant. The shops occupies 846 s/f. The retail portion of the property is 100% leased. A retail/office unit of 1,519 s/f is available on the second floor.
Sylvester bakes and sells a variety of award-winning pet treats along with dog accessories and food. Maggie's Dog House (www.maggiesdoghouse.com) is named for Sylvester's dog Maggie, half-golden retriever, half-yellow lab, who was a beloved member of the family. "When Maggie passed away in 2005 soon after the decision to start the business, it seemed only fitting to name it after her," she said.
The Pride Building, convenient and highly visible in the center of Hingham, is home to several long-time retail and office tenants including Brewed Awakenings, Bloomy Rind cheese shop, Coldwell Banker Realtors and Roth & Seelen Architects. The popular Cycle Town Spin Studio opened in late 2014.
