Leathers joins AlliedCook as senior project manager

Kathryn Leathers has joined AlliedCook Construction as senior project manager. Leathers brings nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry. She has a wealth of construction management experience in a diverse range of projects ranging in size from $100,000 to over $11 million. Leathers' expertise also includes a significant amount of experience as an owner's representative, giving her a unique understanding of the issues and challenges from the client's perspective. Her construction management experience includes projects for academic, healthcare, research and development and industrial/manufacturing clients. She has guided complex projects from conceptual design through preconstruction, purchasing, construction, financial management to project close-out. Her recent project management experience includes new multi-million dollar educational and healthcare facilities in Connecticut. At AlliedCook, Leathers is currently serving as project manager for Husson University's new Living Learning Center in Bangor. Leathers received a BSCE in Structural Engineering with a minor in construction management from Princeton University. She is a member of the Construction Managers Association of America (CMAA) and the Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). "Kathy brings a tremendous amount of project management experience to AlliedCook. Her experience will allow us to further enhance and expand our construction management services," said Dave Cook, president of AlliedCook. "I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to add someone with Kathy's expertise to our staff."
