Kent Washington Association of Realtors raise $15,000 for South County Habitat for Humanity
Golfers at the Kent Washington Association of Realtors 18th annual golf tournament raised $15,000 for the association's annual charity event. Under the leadership of golf tournament chair Cara Conaty, the association was able to present checks to South County Habitat for Humanity in Shannock and Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center in Warwick. Checks were presented on October 7th during the association's annual election, installation, meeting & recognition night at the Quonset O Club.
One hundred and eight golfers turned out for the September 20th tournament, held at the Shelter Harbor Golf Club in Charlestown. Also contributing to the success of the event were three platinum sponsors, a hole-in-one sponsor, a lunch sponsor, three contest sponsors, a cart sponsor, a challenge sponsor and twenty-seven tee sign sponsors. Thirty three area businesses, as well as members of the tournament committee, donated prizes for the raffle, silent, and live auctions.
The day included boxed lunch on the course and dinner, with prizes awarded to the top teams in the men's, women's and mixed categories.
