JM Coull to build a new 48,000 s/f trucking facility for Ross Express - will include 80-dock door positions, as well as 3,000 s/f of office space

Auburn, MA If you live and work anywhere in New England, it is likely you have seen Ross Express’ signature “Red and White” 18-wheelers in action delivering goods for their ever-growing customer base. Building upon a working relationship of over 15 years, Ross Express, now a 74-year-old freight forwarding and logistics company has once again selected JM Coull as the design-build construction manager for the construction of their new 48,000 s/f cross-dock trucking terminal. When finished, the new facility will be the third major, and fourth overall, project completed by JM Coull for Ross Express.

In advance of breaking ground, JMC provided preconstruction design, engineering, site plan approval, permitting and guaranteed pricing for the project utilizing its StartSmart preconstruction services approach. JMC selected Dixon Salo Architects, Turning Point Engineering for civil, Hayes & O’Neil for structural, BARNES Building to provide the pre-engineered metal building along with its design-build mechanical and electrical subcontractor partners.

The building will include 80-dock door positions, as well as 3,000 s/f of office space. Groundbreaking took place in December 2021 with project completion by the end of summer 2022.
