The new campus is located at 25 Research Dr. The last major renovation to the 300,000 s/f facility which is comprised of two 6-story buildings and formerly occupied by National Grid, took place in the early 1990s. The project team had just four months to retrofit approximately 95% of the entire building. The project consisted of the complete demolition and renovation of the existing offices and cubicles for over 1,000 employees; life safety renovations; 20,000 s/f of state of the art executive suites complete with a cutting-edge video conferencing board room; 11 additional video conferencing rooms; a full service cafeteria complete with a server and kitchen; 300+ person auditorium; lighting upgrades; new carpet, paint and millwork throughout as well as folding partitions and upgrades to nearly 30 bathrooms. The project team also included Cushman & Wakefield, tenant representation; ADD, Inc, architecture and Creative Office Pavillion, office furniture. The team was able to overcome the challenging 14 week schedule to have BJ's in their new corporate headquarters at the beginning of this year. Kirk Roth, director of client service for Cushman & Wakefield was thrilled with our team: "Your team has accomplished more in 2.5 days than most, if not any of your competitors would in 2 weeks." He continued to say, "Your persistence, leadership, talent and ownership perspective puts you in the highest ranks of the 'best and brightest' in your field. I can safely say that you have built a coveted 'trust relationship' with the BJ's core project team that will generate ongoing and future business with BJ's, Cushman and ADD, Inc." BJ's is the latest addition to J. Calnan & Associates corporate portfolio that includes A123, Warner Brothers, The TJX Companies, The MathWorks, Iron Mountain, EMC, iRobot, Puma and General Electric.
