IREM to host dealing with difficult residents training seminar - May 25

Wallingford, CT Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned professional some of the most common problems facing property managers can begin with difficult tenants.

Increasingly, property managers and resident service coordinators are required to handle difficult situations on the property and asking themselves: What options are available, is there enough evidence to initiate eviction proceedings, how can we protect the property and the other residents?

Thankfully there are legal tools for property mangers and site staff to use; this seminar, presented by attorney Frank Flynn of the Flynn Law Group, is designed to assist managers and RSCs in handling these tough situations in the best way possible.

They will review how to identify problems, such as hoarding, disruptive tenants, house keeping issues, unwanted visitors, etc... and the steps that can be taken to control or eliminate them. We will discuss hypothetical situations based on true cases that attorney Flynn has dealt with, and explore each option available in handling a difficult resident.

The seminar will be held May 25 at Belfor Restoration, 30 North Plains Industrial Rd. from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
