IREM celebrates 80 years: Building leaders since 1933
80 years of integrity. 80 years of ethics, education and creating value. 80 years of advancing knowledge. 80 years of timely, relevant, and creative solutions. 80 years of helping good real estate managers become great real estate managers.
In 1933, construction began on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. In that same year, a group of visionaries formed the Institute for Real Estate Management. And like that span over the San Francisco Bay, IREM is still going strong eight decades later. At 80, IREM boasts an active community that's 17,000 members strong, the leading education program in real estate management, a powerful voice advocating for the industry, and much more.
Real estate managers around the globe turn to IREM for resources, information, and guidance. Most importantly, IREM has built a strong foundation over these first 80 years so that the Institute can grow even stronger moving forward. IREM constantly strives to provide new and cutting-edge tools to help our members' careers and businesses every day.
To all of the IREM members: thank you for 80 wonderful years. To those in the industry that haven't yet joined IREM: what are you waiting for? The next 80 years will be even better.
