Boston, MA IFMA Boston named this year’s individual award recipients who will be recognized at the 16th Annual Awards of Excellence on May 15th at the Institute of Contemporary Art in the Innovation District.
This year’s Exemplary End User is Frank Rhodes II, CFM, facilities services director for Marriott International. This award is presented to a professional member of the Boston Chapter who has provided sustained, and outstanding leadership within the profession. This person is highly valued by his or her company and the facility management profession. Recipients demonstrate the best in leadership and ethics. Rhodes is a recent CFM and volunteers within the chapter on their Career Expansion team working with SkillsUSA to develop a local Facilithon competition for young adults to expose them early to the facility management profession.
The Exemplary Service Provider this year is Glenn Gould, MBA, service sales manager with Cannistraro. This award is presented to an associate member company or its representative in recognition of voluntary contributions to IFMA Boston and the facility management profession. These contributions may include sponsoring programs or educational offerings, presenting innovative sessions on FM related topics, providing technical assistance to members, or serving as a chapter chair or committee members. Gould is a past chair of the IFMA Boston Golf Classic and is now chairing the Career Expansion team. He works specifically with the IFMA Foundation in furthering their reach in closing the talent gap in facility management in the area.
Andrew Delprete is a senior facility manager with Liberty Mutual and this year’s recipient of the Young Professional Award. This award is presented to an active IFMA Boston Young Professional member (under 35) within the chapter and shows initiative in both their work and professional settings. They go above and beyond in their efforts with skilled execution and follow through and motivate others to participate. Delprete is one of the co-chairs of Education & Development, which brings online programming to the membership and was integral in the planning and execution of the chapters first inaugural conference FMForward in May.
Also at awards, the Best Practice and Operational Innovation award winners will be honored.
