Granite City Electric donates supplies to Habitat for Humanity

Norwell, MA South Shore Habitat for Humanity, which has delivered quality housing in partnership with families in need for the past 36 years, received a donation of electrical supplies from Granite City Electric for its local homebuilding project in Hingham. Through Granite City Electric Partnership program, three other Mass. affiliates of Habitat for Humanity were also chosen to receive in-kind electrical supplies for home construction projects: Old Colony Habitat for Humanity, Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester and Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity.

Steve Helle, president and COO for Granite City said, “Our company has a strong commitment to giving back and feels privileged to contribute to so many charities, in particular, to an organization like Habitat for Humanity that assists so many families throughout Massachusetts.”

“We are grateful to Granite City Electric for supporting South Shore Habitat for Humanity as part of this growing partnership. It is because of philanthropic companies, like Granite City, that we are able to make the dream of homeownership a reality for local families in need of safe, affordable housing,” said Beth Lyons, executive director.
