Cambridge, MA The 2017 Jury of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has elevated Jocelyn Frederick, principal at Tsoi/Kobus & Associates to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession.

Frederick will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017 in Orlando, April 27-29.

The Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession.  Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Out of a total AIA membership of over 90,000, approximately 3% are distinguished with the honor of fellowship and honorary fellowship.

She is internationally recognized for her commitment to transforming healthcare projects. She combines the needs of the highly function-driven environments with technically demanding building systems to create high-performance, yet beautiful, award-winning buildings. Through 40 years of continuous learning in healthcare design research, analysis of customer requirements, and community health needs, Frederick has excelled at improving the quality of the lives she touches through the built environment.
