Middletown, RI Co-CEO’s Jeff Karam and Jamie Karam of First Bristol Corp. partnering with Rocky Kempenaar of Kempenaar Real Estates, Inc. will soon unveil the multi-million dollar, newly-updated Hampton Inn & Suites Newport-Middletown located at 317 West Main Rd. Closed to the public since December, the renovated hotel will offer a modern coastal theme that will showcase floor-to-ceiling updates throughout the property. Located ten minutes from downtown Newport, the hotel is set to reopen this month.

Designed with ZDS Architecture, the Hampton Inn & Suites will offer guests a fully updated, brighter and more contemporary experience. The renovation includes a new lobby with a modern color scheme, new furniture, flooring, and a refreshed layout; a modernized fitness center including new equipment, flooring and configuration; and a full renovation of every guest room and suite, including brand-new bathrooms, fixtures, tiles, carpeting, furniture, bedding and artwork.

The renovation is part of a $7.5 million investment in the Hampton Inn & Suites property, and its neighboring sister hotel, Homewood Suites by Hilton, which is receiving interior updates to common spaces, guest rooms and bathrooms. Both hotels are located on West Main Rd.

The ownership and management of the Hampton Inn & Suites and the Homewood Suites by Hilton is a partnership of First Bristol Corp. and Kempenaar Real Estates.

“Newport is an incredibly popular and desirable drive destination for tourists and business travelers from across the northeast, and the Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton provide unparalleled amenities and value,” said Jeff Karam.

“With high occupancy rates that we maintained even throughout the past pandemic, we are pleased to provide our loyal guests with a completely new experience and offer an incredible, high-value brand for those new to the properties.”

The 95-room Hampton Inn & Suites is less than 15-minutes from downtown Newport, features an on-site restaurant and offers an affordable option year-round for business and leisure travelers. Both the Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites by Hilton offer an array of amenities including shuttle service to and from downtown Newport and local beaches, a free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking, an expanded fitness center, and indoor pool. The property also features a business center, meeting and social space, and pet-friendly rooms.

“We are thrilled to unveil these beautiful hotels,” said Kempenaar. “The design brings coastal Newport to our guests’ doorstep and improved amenities offer our guests a top-notch Newport experience without the substantial price tag.”
