Through case studies, including a deep dive into Dexter Southfield preparatory school, the session will demonstrate how accurate digital documentation can streamline operations, improve safety, and optimize long-term planning through space inventories and facility assessments.

Other Chapter Updates:
Another great IFMA Boston Fall Golf Classic at Granite Links in Quincy is in the books! September 30th was a picture perfect day, whether members and guests were golfing or participating in the golf clinic. Cocktails, networking and dinner were under the pavilion tent with a skyline view of Boston and a magnificent sunset. Make sure to put September 29th, 2025 into your calendar for next year’s event!

Melodee Wagen, VP student relations attended IFMA International Advocacy Day which was held in Washington D.C. on September 17th and 18th. According to IFMA International, “Advocacy Day is where elected officials discuss the importance of legislation and how it impacts facility managers and the industry of facility management. It’s also a chance to “understand the importance of chapter-based advocacy and get key insights on how to connect with elected officials, stay informed on the latest policies and laws affecting facility management, and how to create state and local government affairs programs for the chapter.”

In early October 26 members of IFMA Boston travelled to San Antonio to experience IFMA International’s World Workplace. In addition to attending speaker and educational sessions, as well as meeting vendors on the exhibit floor, the Boston Chapter held a cocktail reception on Wednesday night at the Devil’s River Distillery in conjunction with the Greater NYC Chapter. It was a great evening, and everyone is looking forward to Minneapolis in 2025. On Thursday there was a Boston member only luncheon at the Lone Star Café, along the famed River Walk.
