Diversified Project Management completes relocation for NEIT

Diversified Project Management, Inc. (DPM), an owner's representative firm providing programming, pre-construction, project management, construction administration, FF&E coordination and move-planning services, has completed the multi-phased relocation of New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) to a new campus. DPM was retained to manage the extensive phased relocation into a newly renovated, three-floor, 265,000 s/f facility on Division Rd. The building, originally built as corporate office space, was redesigned to suit NEIT'S needs as an educational institution. Planning began in early 2010 with moves taking place throughout the balance of 2010 and spring and summer of 2011 in an effort to accommodate the constraints of the academic calendar. Diversified provided comprehensive relocation management services including management of the overall relocation schedule, the bidding, ordering, delivery and installation of furniture and mover selection and supervision. "When we hired DPM, we had no concept of the extent of services and expertise they would provide," said Doug Sherman, associate provost and special assistant to the president of NEIT. "They were knowledgeable, focused and an integral part of our team. We could not have done it without them." DPM provides a variety of project management services for other Rhode Island academic institutions including Brown University, RISD and Bryant University. About Diversified Project Management, Inc.
