DIV 1515 Commonwealth, LLC launches presales and preleasing at 1515 Commonwealth Ave. development

Brighton, MA DIV 1515 Commonwealth, LLC, an affiliate of The Davis Companies (Davis), has launched presales and preleasing at 1515 Commonwealth Ave., a new luxury development bringing 252 housing units to the area. The development is comprised of two buildings: 1515 Comm Ave., an eight-story condominium building offering 102 units, and Hew, a seven-story, 150-unit multifamily rental building. Designed and constructed to reflect the site’s history as a former granite quarry, the development sits atop one of the highest points in Boston and offers views of the city skyline and Charles River.

“We are incredibly proud to begin preleasing and presales at 1515 Commonwealth Ave., our most recent multifamily development in the Greater Boston area that pushes the boundaries of what it means to offer a unique and elevated living experience,” said Mike Cantalupa, chief development officer at Davis. “1515 Comm Ave. and Hew at 1515 have the ability to redefine the landscape of modern living by providing an unmatched fusion of luxury, community, convenience and design.”

With the collaboration of project partners TOCCI Construction, RODE Architects and Alex Stark, 1515 Commonwealth Ave. incorporates a variety of feng shui design elements – including mineral quartz crystals built into the structures – to ensure balance and environmental harmony. The building features strong compass orientation, green spaces buffering the property from a busy street, and unit layouts with smooth energy flow designed to support prosperity, health, family serenity, and success for its residents.

“The new development at 1515 Commonwealth Ave. shows that an inspired, context-specific design can really transform a site,” said Eric Robinson, co-founder and principal, RODE Architects. “The project celebrates the site’s historic past, with the northern condominium block rising like granite from the former quarry, and the southern rental block folded away from the street edge to open up a generous landscaped courtyard. We’re thrilled that residents will soon be able to experience the culmination of the full team’s effort at 1515 Commonwealth.”

Comprised of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, 1515 Comm Ave. condominiums are finished with chrome or matte black hardware accents, double bathroom vanities, floor-to-ceiling windows with city, park, and skyline views and kitchens with engineered wood flooring and quartz counters. Residents will have amenities including a 24/7 concierge and building security, private work rooms and co-working spaces, clubroom with a catering kitchen and lounge, fitness center, rooftop sky deck and bar, second-floor terrace with grills and putting green, golf and multi-sport simulator and pet spa. The first residents will move in to 1515 Comm Ave. this fall.

Hew at 1515, the seven-story rental apartment building, offers studios and 1-2+den-bedroom units to rent that include open-concept living and kitchen spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows, brass finishes in the kitchen and bathrooms, and skyline views.

The building includes amenities such as private work rooms and co-working spaces, fitness center, clubroom with a catering kitchen and lounge space, and roof deck with grills, fire pits, and a sun deck. Hew will deliver and be ready for first move-ins this Summer.

Hew and 1515 Comm Ave. are ideally located near Washington Sq., Coolidge Corner, Brighton Center, and Allston, as well as major institutions including Boston College, Boston University, and St. Elizabeths Hospital. Situated right above Brighton’s active Commonwealth Ave., the homes offer proximity to an eclectic mix of dining, shopping, and leisure amenities, as well as the MBTA Green B and C lines.
