DiMella of Charlesgate Realty named GBAR 2013 Realtor of the Year
The Greater Boston Association of Realtors (GBAR) recently named Michael Dimella their 2013 Realtor of the Year at their Annual Awards luncheon. The luncheon, which took place this year at the Museum of Science, honors those who have exemplified the Realtor name in a variety of ways over the previous year. Dimella, who has been a Realtor for almost 10 years, is the managing partner of Charlesgate Realty and is a Principal of IGNITION Residential.
The Realtor of the Year Award is presented to one member who best represents the organization through his volunteer work, dedication to the Realtor organization, and achievements in the industry. These include entrepreneurial spirit, civic involvement, professionalism, and a commitment to organizational ideals.
Locally, Dimella has served as the president-elect of GBAR over the past year in addition to serving as chairman of the GBREB finance committee and a member of the GBAR Rental Services PAG. On the state level, he has served on the board of directors as well as the chair of the tech. committee and a graduate of the Leadership Academy in 2006.
For the National Association of Realtors, Dimella held positions on the Leadership Academy Advisory Board and Strategic Planning Committee. He also was Co-Chair of the 2011 Annual Conference.
In addition to his Realtor activities, Dimella plays an active role in the Boston community through his volunteer work with Boys and Girls Club of Boston. He holds a place on the Leadership Committee as well as the Events Committee for which he was chair from 2011 - 2012.
Over the past 10 years in his management of Charlesgate Realty, the company has seen impressive growth.They also have an award-winning rental and property management division at their Boylston Street location. In 2012, they also introduced a Multifamily Division to better assist clients with their investment property.
