Cottonwood names Barkan as managing agent for EchelonSeaport

Boston, MA In preparation for the debut of EchelonSeaport’s opening this fall, Cottonwood Group has named Barkan Management as the managing agent and the engagement of Brian Buhler as the general manager for 133 Seaport and 135 Seaport at EchelonSeaport.

Cottonwood Chairman and CEO, Alex Shing said, “Both Barkan Management and Brian Buhler have long-standing reputations as leaders in Boston’s luxury residential market, and with their being part of the management team at EchelonSeaport along with Regent, it shows that Cottonwood is committed to providing the highest level of service and attention to EchelonSeaport residents.”

Barkan has set the gold standard of luxury residential property management in the city with a track record in client service and a focus on quality for many of the city’s residences, including Twenty Two and 50 Liberty, The Residences at the Intercontinental, The Residences at Rowes Wharf, and Atelier 505, among others. “We are honored to bring our expertise to EchelonSeaport, truly one of the most impressive and distinguished luxury residences on the East Coast,” said Bill DiSchino, president and CEO of Barkan. “We’re excited to open this incredible mixed-use complex and deliver an exceptional luxury living experience for its residents.”

Starting this fall, the 3.5-acre, 1.33 million s/f, mixed-use, three-tower project will deliver 447 luxury condominiums, 270 rental apartments, more than 60,000 s/f of unprecedented indoor and outdoor private residential amenity spaces, and 125,000 s/f of destination retail and dining surrounding a signature public courtyard in the Seaport District.

Following the fall opening of 133 Seaport, A Regent Collection, EchelonSeaport’s second condominium tower, 135 Seaport, A Regent Collection is due to open early 2020, and the third and final multifamily tower will soon follow. 

With more than 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry, Buhler brings leadership, dedication and exceptional service to his new role at EchelonSeaport. Most recently, Buhler served as general manager of One Charles Condominium in Back Bay for over 15 years. “EchelonSeaport is an incredible property; I am thrilled to join this talented team,” said Buhler. “I look forward to bringing my expertise and passion to the project and to offer our residents the highest level of service that will define the Echelon brand.”
