Cottonwood Management, LLC signs partnership with Regent Hotels & Resorts

Boston, MA Cottonwood Management, LLC, a real estate development and management company, has signed a partnership agreement with the global luxury hospitality brand Regent Hotels & Resorts. The agreement will see Regent Hotels & Resorts return to the North American market with the launch of two new mixed-use developments in Boston and New York City.

Through this strategic relationship, Regent Residences and Regent Hotels will be working hand-in-hand with Cottonwood Management to create two premier branded properties – one in Boston’s Seaport District and one on New York City’s fashionable Fifth Ave.

“Regent is a global brand that is synonymous with hospitality. It has a rich history in the North American market and demonstrates a thorough understanding of contemporary luxury with a global sensibility, making them a natural partner for us to unlock the value of Cottonwood’s real estate platform,” said Alexander Shing, chairman and founder of Cottonwood Management. “I very much look forward to working with Steven Pan and his expert team to bring together the best of the East and the West to our properties.”

Plans are progressing for Cottonwood’s Boston development on Parcels M1 and M2 to break ground in late 2016. Spanning more than one million square feet, the completed project will include three towers consisting of approximately 900,000 square feet of residential space along with 125,000 square feet of retail space, all anchored by a central courtyard which will serve as the focal point for the development to welcome visitors, neighbors and residents. Additionally, the pedestrian courtyard will be connected by several throughways allowing public access and expanding access to the neighborhood’s retail offerings. This development represents Cottonwood’s first major project in South Boston’s Seaport District and will strengthen the company’s roots in Boston as they continue to pursue dynamic projects and build their lifetime presence across the city.

“We have always enjoyed a strong brand presence in the U.S. market as a result of the original properties we had in New York City, Boston and Beverly Hills. We are very excited to be re-establishing our brick and mortar presence in partnership withCottonwood Management,” says Steven Pan, Chairman of Regent Hotels and Resorts. “In line with our philosophy that ‘the essence of luxury is to be unique’, our focus will be on delivering that luxury experience which our guests know and love us for, through creating new and original concepts delivered in a framework of gracious and intuitive service.”
