Construction underway on student housing at Merrimack College by Pro Con Inc.

Construction is underway for new student residences on the campus of Merrimack College. Pro Con Inc. is the architect and construction manager for the project which includes the design and construction of five townhouse style student residences. Trident Project Advantage Group is the project manager for Merrimack College. The 5 new student residences will house 350 students. The student residences are designed as suites and each building will provide two units to house resident assistants. The three-story townhouse design offers student housing on all three floors and two of the buildings will have a community room and laundry facilities. The exterior of the residences will have a masonry façade and fiber cement siding. Weather protected porches will be located at each residence entrance. The exterior design compliments the existing architecture on campus, while creating a uniform design for the residential townhouses. Pro Con broke ground for the Merrimack College student residences in September 2012 and has scheduled an August completion date, in advance of the start of the fall school term. Pro Con Inc is a full service architecture and construction management firm specializing in commercial, hospitality, institutional, industrial and multi-family residential projects.
