Collins joins BL Companies as senior electrical engineer
According to BL Companies, a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, environmental and land surveying firm providing services to public and private clients in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Steven Collins, PE, LEED AP has joined the firm as senior electrical engineer.
Collins has over 12 years of electrical engineering experience and is a licensed professional engineer in five states. His expertise encompasses commercial, educational and health care facilities, and solar photovoltaic systems. His experience in the design of electrical building systems extends to analysis, design, documentation and specifications. As the lead electrical engineer in BL Companies' MEP engineering department, Collins is responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise and overseeing the firm's electrical engineering projects.
Prior to joining BL Companies, Collins was a senior electrical engineer at a Connecticut MEP engineering firm. While there he was responsible for the electrical engineering involved in the renovation and new construction of commercial, retail, education, healthcare and industrial projects.
