Colebrook Realty Services, Inc. brokers 43,000 s/f lease renewal to Disability Management Services

Colebrook Realty Services, Inc. has brokered the lease renewal of tenant Disability Management Services, Inc. (DMS) at 1350 Main St. DMS leased a total of 43,000 s/f on three floors for a term of five and a half years. Colebrook principal Mitch Bolotin represented DMS in the transaction. DMS is a third-party administrator and consulting firm that manages all aspects of disability insurance obligations. "Disability Management Services, Inc. is happy to retain its presence in downtown Springfield and our space at 1350 Main St. continues to serve the needs of our operation," said Bob Bonsall, CEO of DMS. With more than 200 professionals in both offices, retaining this downtown employer was a pleasing outcome for all parties. "All options were under consideration including a move out of Springfield," said Colebrook Vice President Mitch Bolotin. "DMS has been a tenant here since 1999. It's great to see an employer with a growing workforce continue its commitment to downtown Springfield." The landlord is 1350 Main Street, LLC, an NAI Plotkin real estate holding company. Evan Plotkin, president of NAI Plotkin, said, "DMS is a large tenant and occupies a good percentage of the building, so this deal made a lot of sense financially. Beyond that, though, tenant mix is important to us. DMS is a financially stable, well-managed company. Their solid reputation, high standards and strong leadership make DMS an ideal tenant." Demetrios Panteleakis of NAI Plotkin was the owner's broker. Established in 1973 as the real estate arm of SIS Bank, Colebrook has been independently owned since 1998. The firm's emphasis over the past decade has been on leveraging its development and ownership experience to its client services practice, including tenant representation. Colebrook has more than 50 employees serving a wide variety of institutional, corporate and individual clients throughout Western New England. Based in Springfield, Massachusetts, the firm is licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
