Cobb Hill Construction completes 5,800 s/f Friendly Kitchen
Cobb Hill Construction, Inc. has completed construction on the new Friendly Kitchen, an area soup kitchen on South Commercial St. The new building replaces the old Friendly Kitchen which was lost to a fire in April 2011 at the Hope House.
The new 5,800 s/f building seats more than 120 people through a combination of indoor and outdoor seating, all of which is accessible for individuals with disabilities. Other features of the building include a commercial kitchen and a large food storage area that will allow volunteers to more easily prepare and store donated foods. The project also includes substantial onsite parking and well-lit landscaped grounds.
"We're proud to have had the opportunity to help bring the Friendly Kitchen back in a way that will enable them to more easily and efficiently fulfill their mission," said Jerry Kingwill, president of Cobb Hill Const. "They are an important part of the Concord community, and with this new facility they can help even more people."
Cobb Hill is dedicated to a standard of excellence in their industry in all aspects of craft, customer service, communications, and management.
