Ci Design, Inc. hires Bland as principal

Shawn Bland

Boston, MA Ci Design, Inc. has hired Shawn Bland as principal of commercial. Bland brings over two decades of experience to the award-winning architecture firm. As a leader in the retail industry, he will lead transformative projects, cultivate client relationships, establish new opportunities and provide valuable leadership insight. 

“Shawn will be integral to shaping and diversifying our commercial portfolio,” said John Larsen, president and CEO of Ci Design. “He will be a solid asset to the firm and his depth of knowledge will strengthen our team.”

Bland previously served as the director of retail and retail banking at Core States Group, where he elevated the architecture, engineering and construction firm’s commercial market strategy, reputation and brand. At Ci Design, Bland will expertly lead the firm’s commercial sector and project teams to ensure a high level of design for clients.

“Adding Shawn to our team will strategically grow our presence as a competitive architecture firm in the commercial industry,” said Christopher Ladd, vice president and COO of Ci Design. “His collaborative approach will be integral to expanding our commercial team across our six offices.”

Bland is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Retail Design Institute.
