Bufftree Building Co. converts sweater mill into veterans housing
Bufftree Building Company is in the process of converting the former Sweater Mill/Carriage House at 280 North St. into the Sean Brooke House that will become home for male and female veterans in need. Expected to be ready for occupancy in spring 2010, the ADA-accessible facility will include 19 one-bedroom apartments plus an addition with a new elevator, entrance vestibule and access stairs to the upper and lower levels. Each level will have a laundry room and utility room for the convenience of the veterans.
