BOMA update: Carbon Neutrality Webinar and TOBY Tutorial

Boston, MA On Wednesday, April 28th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. BOMA Boston is hosting a webinar on Carbon Neutrality. Mike Gill, LEED AP O&M, C.E.M. director of operations, and Radhika Kanaskar, business services systems administrator with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston will join BOMA Boston to provide an overview of carbon neutrality, specifically topics associated with planning for the goals and expectations of the city of Boston and a discussion of how we get there by 2050. They will include some general ideas on a strategy to achieve this important goal of carbon neutral in our buildings. There will be a live Q&A session with the audience to answer any questions you have, we hope you can join us!

Interested in submitting your building for a TOBY Award this year? The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious program of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. BOMA Boston’s TOBY Awards program is one of the largest in the nation, and property management teams have 17 categories to choose from to submit their building. Join BOMA Boston’s very own Kayla Burmeister on Tuesday, April 27th from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for a conversation about all things TOBY! Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to submit a building for the TOBY competition and how to conduct a TOBY Tour during the judging process.

Save the date for the BOMA Boston Fishing Tournament on Friday, June 11th, the BOMA Boston Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, July 12th and BOMA Fallfest on Thursday, October 14th! Registration information will be available soon!

BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong. Through educational offerings, BOMA members and non-members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The next course, BOMI Budgeting & Accounting will take place Wednesday and Friday mornings of May 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, and June 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th and 30th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This virtual course will be taught by Barry Familetto with Stetson Management & Development.
