BOMA Boston update - BOMA Benefit and more!

On February, 24, Eric Wilson, director of Social Media at the New England Real Estate Journal and the New York Real Estate Journal, hosted a roundtable "#CRE Social Media: Building Your Company's Online Presence". BOMA members received valuable tips on creating an effective social media strategy and how to enhance your visibility at networking events with social media. The roundtable is part of a monthly program series hosted by BOMA to help educate members on a variety of topics to assist with their careers and professional development! SUPPORT THE BOMA BENEFIT AND HELP SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES This year has been a really tough winter with unprecedented amounts of snow and cold and this year more than ever we can use help supporting some of Boston's local charities! On Saturday, March 14, BOMA Boston will hold their 26th Annual BOMA Benefit at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The BOMA Benefit is an annual fundraiser raising money for local charities. The 2015 BOMA Benefit Beneficiaries are: Cardinal Cushing Centers, Cradles to Crayons, Father Bill's & MainSpring and Heading Home. In addition, we will recognize and raise funds for the BINA Farm Centers. This year's theme is a Flashback to the 80s. BOMA Members and guests will sport their best 80s attire and enjoy an evening of play gambling, networking and dancing. Sponsorships, tickets, donations and raffle tickets are currently available. Spring is right around the corner and BOMA Boston has many great programs in the line-up for the spring! On Thursday, March 11, BOMA Boston will host a LEED Green Associates Workshop to help prepare folks for the LEED GA Exam. Instructed by the Sustainability Investment Group, this program is designed for property managers, building engineers, contractors, asset managers, architects and anyone who looking to get the associates. The course will cover the key components of the LEED rating system, LEED building strategies and three exam areas (recognition, analysis and application). The program will be held at the BOMA Offices from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, March 26, the BOMA Emerging Professionals will hold their 6th Annual Trivia Night at the Kinsale Irish Pub & Restaurant at 2 Center Plaza. BOMA members and non-members are encouraged to attend to test their industry, sports and pop culture knowledge for a friendly competition. Both individual and team registrations are available. Trivia Night will be held from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. On Tuesday, April 7, BOMA Boston will host a Networking Nite at Warehouse Bar + Grille on Broad Street. Networking Nite is a FREE networking event for BOMA Members and non-members are welcome to attend at a low cost of $20. Join us to network with members and non-members in a relaxed setting and learn more about BOMA Boston. April Networking Nite is sponsored by Asphalt Services, Inc. and will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, April 8, BOMA Boston will host the Annual New member breakfast. This breakfast is designed for both new members and current members interested in learning more about BOMA Boston. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with members of the BOMA Board and hear valuable tips on how seasoned members get the most value out of their membership. This breakfast program is FREE and will be held at the BOMA Office at One Center Plaza, from 7:45 - 9:15 a.m.
