BOMA Boston July: Upcoming programs and annual special events

Boston, MA The Annual BOMA Boston Fishing Tournament took place on Friday, June 7th. Over 140 members and colleagues gathered on the docks of Liberty Wharf for an early-morning continental breakfast, and then boarded their vessels for a full morning of casting on a professional fishing boat with local captains. The tournament was followed by a networking luncheon at Legal Harborside in the city’s Seaport. 

BOMA Boston headed to the ‘burbs on June 11th for BOMA’s ‘Burbs Networking Nite! BOMA members and colleagues gathered for a wonderful night of commercial real estate industry networking at Jake n’ Joes in Waltham, Mass. 

“MBTA: Today and Tomorrow” was the topic of discussion at BOMA’s June Roundtable event. Attendees heard from MBTA leaders about current and future information and plans for the T in the city. Jeff Cook and Bill Wolfgang shared an overview of the complexity of managing numerous MBTA lines, plus technology, real estate, leadership, and logistics. 

Over 300 members and friends were in attendance for BOMA Boston’s sold out Golf Tournament on Monday, July 8th. The tournament took place at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, featuring a welcoming breakfast reception, golf tournament, golf clinic, lunch and the barbecue reception and awards presentation to conclude the day. 

“Hop on Board” July 25th for BOMA Boston’s summer cruise, hosted by the Emerging Professionals. Join members and colleagues on the Music City Queen for a night of entertainment and networking. Enjoy a live DJ, hors d’oeuvres, two drink tickets and great views of the city skyline! The cruise will take place from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. 

Save the date for one of commercial real estate’s biggest nights: The Annual BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards! Join 600 industry friends and colleagues as we recognize the best and brightest in property management, building operations, and service in the real estate industry. The TOBY & Industry Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 20th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Ave. 

BOMA’s partnership with BOMI International remains strong. Through educational offerings, BOMA Members and Non-Members learn from senior professionals in the commercial real estate industry to work towards earning their RPA or FMA designations, or PAC or PMFP certifications. The next eight-part course, “Environmental Health and Safety Issues,” will take place beginning August 14th and conclude on October 2nd. The course will be instructed by Barry Familetto with Stetson Management & Development Co. and will be taking place at Alexandria Real Estate, 400 Technology Sq., Cambridge.
