BOMA Boston January recap and upcoming events

On Monday, January 12 BOMA Boston's Emerging Professionals Committee hosted their second annual ski trip at Waterville Valley Ski Resort in New Hampshire. The all-day event, sponsored by BELFOR Property Restoration, brought together members from the BOMA Boston community for a day of skiing, networking and fun! On Wednesday, January 21, BOMA Boston hosted their first Roundtable of 2015 on "How to be a Successful Property Management Team." June Cunniff, senior vice president, A.W. Perry, Inc. and 2015 BOMA Boston president, moderated a panel discussion with: Jack Hurley, RPA, general manager, CBRE | New England; Jason Richardson, RPA, property manager, CBRE | New England; and Dave Ciampolillo, senior chief engineer, JLL. The panelists, all 2014 TOBY & Industry Award Winners, shared their best practices on property management and working with their teams, tenants and vendors. The program was hosted by Tishman Speyer. Upcoming Events On February, 24, BOMA will host a Roundtable on "#CRE Social Media: Building Your Company's Online Presence." Eric Wilson, director of social media at the New England Real Estate Journal and the New York Real Estate Journal, will share tips on: creating an effective social media strategy, how to position yourself as an industry influencer, and how to enhance your visibility at networking events with social media. This luncheon is open to both BOMA Members and non-members and will be held at the BOMA Offices at One Center Plaza from 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 14, BOMA Boston will hold their 26th Annual BOMA Benefit at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The BOMA Benefit is an annual fundraiser raising money for local charities. The 2015 BOMA Benefit Beneficiaries are: Cardinal Cushing Centers, Cradles to Crayons, Father Bill's & MainSpring and Heading Home. In addition, we will recognize and raise funds for the BINA Farm Centers. This year's theme is a Flashback to the 80s. BOMA members and guests will sport their best 80s attire and enjoy an evening of play gambling, networking and dancing. Sponsorships, tickets, donations and raffle tickets are currently available.
