BOMA Boston’s summer events include Annual Fishing Tournament - Regional TOBY Award Winners

Boston, MA BOMA Boston is busy planning some upcoming summer events. On Friday, June 9, BOMA Boston will host their Annual Fishing Tournament out of Rowes Wharf. The tournament consists of a half-day of fishing followed by a luncheon reception and brief awards program at The Daily Catch.

The BOMA Boston Golf Cup Tournament will take place on Monday, July 10 at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth. This annual tournament includes a full day of golfing, breakfast, lunch, and a late-afternoon reception following the tournament. Sponsorship and other opportunities are still available. Northeast Building & Facilities Management Show

BOMA Boston Roundtable – Building Resiliency with Sea Levels Rising

On Tuesday, June 20, BOMA Boston will be hosting a roundtable focused on building resiliency during significant storms. John Cleveland and Bud Ris from the Green Ribbon Commission will share a summary of the city of Boston’s Climate Ready report which was released in December of 2016. Immediately following their presentation, Mike Gill, director of operations at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, will moderate a panel of industry professionals to discuss what steps they are taking to prepare and protect their buildings from the natural hazards that could impact critical infrastructure and operations. The program will be held at Atlantic Wharf, 290 Congress St. from 11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

BOMA International Conference in June 
Help represent BOMA Boston at The BOMA International Conference and Expo. The conference will be held from June 24-27 in Nashville.  In addition to a great expo, educational sessions, and the International TOBY Awards, on Tuesday, June 27, Rob Brierley with Colliers International will be sworn in as chairman of BOMA International for 2017-2018. 

BOMA Boston TOBY & Industry Awards
Each year, the TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) & Industry Awards recognize industry excellence in property management, building operations, and service in the real estate industry. There are 17 categories for The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards and 9 categories for the Industry Awards. The deadline for all nominations and building entries: Monday, September 11. The winners will be announced at the annual TOBY & Industry Awards at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Thursday, November 16.
