BOMA 2017 TOBY & Industry Awards and year-end programming

Boston, MA On Thursday, November 16, BOMA Boston will host the annual TOBY & Industry Awards Dinner at the Boston Marriott Copley Place from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. Members and non-members will gather to celebrate excellence in property management, building ownership, and service in the commercial real estate industry. This year’s Executive of the Year Award Honoree is John Durnan, BOMA Boston board of directors. BOMA Boston will also present a special Lifetime Achievement Award to Jack Spurr, A.W. Perry, Inc. 

All other honorees will be announced the evening of the awards. Awards will be presented in 14 different categories for buildings and 8 categories for industry awards. This is BOMA Boston’s single largest gathering with close to 600 commercial real estate professionals in attendance. 

Green Week!
Join BOMA Boston for several events the week of November 6 - known as BOMA Green Week! 

On Monday, November 6, BOMA Boston will host a LEED Green Associate (GA) Workshop to help prepare attendees for the 100-question LEED 4 exam. Registration for the workshop also includes a LEED GA Study Guide PDF (by GBES), access to six 100-question online practice exams (unlimited use for 120 days), access to LEED experts for follow-up questions via LEED Forum, MP3’s of Green Associate Main Topics, live proctoring of sample exam questions and scenarios, study matrix sheets.

On Tuesday, November 7, BOMA Boston members and non-members will gather at the GreenWorks, Inc. recycling facility in Peabody for an educational program and guided tour focused on recycling initiatives and technology. Discover how the GreenWorks, Inc. facility is run and receive a firsthand look at the machinery that processes your commercial recycling from a bird’s eye viewing deck. The facility is operated with a combination of both hand sorting methods, as well as, automated technology to separate the recyclables. The recycling center sorts and organizes metal alloys, hard and soft plastics, cardboard, paper, and glass.

BOMA Boston and BOMA’s sustainability committee will be supporting Greenbuild as a regional partner.
