Black of SL Green Realty Corp. speaks at Stamford's new environmental initiative - joins 2030 Districts

According to SL Green Realty Corp., Jay Black, director of sustainability, was among the officials speaking at an event held on October 9 announcing Stamford's new environmental initiative, as it becomes the sixth city to join 2030 Districts. 2030 Districts focuses on greenhouse gas emissions reduction at a district scale, and is committed to meeting energy, water and transportation emissions reduction targets of the 2030 Challenge for Planning. 2030 Districts presently includes five other cities, namely: Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. As a founding member of Stamford's 2030 Districts, Reckson/SL Green hosted the city's media event at Landmark Square, located in Stamford. Speaking alongside Stamford's mayor David Martin, Black highlighted the significance and success of Reckson/SL Green's market-leading environmental program, and support of Stamford's commitment toward this sustainable initiative.
