Barnacle of RPL honored by Realtor Magazine

Residential Properties Ltd. (RPL) sales manager, Ian Barnacle has been honored as a member of Realtor Magazine's "30 under 30" Class of 2013. As a result, Barnacle will be featured in the May/June 2013 issue of the magazine, as well as the "30 Under 30" program page found online. "I am proud to be a member of Realtor Magazine's 2013 30 Under 30," said Barnacle. Beginning his real estate career in 2007, the third generation Realtor started out as an intern with RPL before quickly rising to become the sales manager for the company's Barrington branch. "I began a career in real estate sales because I saw the opportunity to provide a new perspective to an established model in a town that I know and love." During the application process, Barnacle took the additional step of filming a video application to help distinguish himself among the hundreds of qualified candidates. Ian was one of just over 50 realtors to create a video application, which can be found on Realtor Magazine's official YouTube channel. Each spring, Realtor Magazine highlights a group of 30 up and coming members of the real estate industry below the age of 30. This year, the magazine's staff sifted through close to 400 applications, searching for successful realtors who have demonstrated skill, creativity, and leadership during their careers to whittle the pool down to a group of 50 finalists. The selection process was then left up to the readers, who were given the opportunity to vote their favorites in the web choice competition held in late March. When the voting process was complete, Barnacle emerged with enough votes to be selected as a member of the "30 Under 30" Class of 2013. For more information regarding Barnacle and the rest of the honorees, as well as some exclusive online content, be sure to visit the "30 Under 30" program page.
