ASM holds biennial dinner gala

On Nov. 13, 300 ASM members and guests gathered at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum for a gala evening that included tours of the museum, a tribute to long-time members, and a talk by media personality, Mike Barnicle. It was also a history-making occasion, in which members elected Sara Stafford as the first woman president of the Associated Subcontractors of Mass, succeeding Scott Packard of Chapman Waterproofing. In accepting the nomination, Stafford recognized Packard for his commitment to ASM and the industry, and pledged to continue building ASM's membership and striving to improve the business environment for subcontractors. Also, David Cannistraro of Cannistraro LLC was chosen as president-elect. Richard Fisher of Red Wing Construction and Gregory Porfido of Mark Richey Woodworking & Design, Inc. were elected vice presidents. They join returning vice president Michael Kosiver of Lockheed Window Corp. Russell Anderson of Southeastern Metal Fabricators was re-elected treasurer. Five new directors were also elected, joining fourteen others who are returning for another term 2-year term, through 2010.
