Appraisal Institute seeks presentation proposals for 2017 Conference

Boston, MA The Appraisal Institute is seeking proposals for presentations at the 2017 International Valuation Conference, hosted by Appraisal Institute  and the Appraisal Institute of Canada, in Ottawa, Ontario, on June 8-11, 2017.ai-conf

The Appraisal Institute highly values presentations from appraisal client representatives, government agency officials and leaders of real estate industry organizations. Proposals are due Oct. 28.

Participants of the 2016 AI Annual Conference identified high interest in the following topics:

• New technology and resources; • Expert testimony; • Appraisal review trends for appraisers and lenders; •Green buildings; • Market analysis; • Review expectations and regulatory impact; • International valuation and • Property rights.

Preference will be given to proposed presentations that highlight achievements or opportunities for the profession, address client issues or concerns, raise awareness about best practices or attempt to address a pressing issue or problem facing the profession. The Appraisal Institute specifically is looking for presentations that have a U.S.-based focus.

Presenters will receive an honorarium. Travel expenses and registration fees will not be covered.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. CDT, October 28.
