Angel of Angel Commercial leases one acre land to Mercedes-Benz
"Commerce Dr. has become the destination for auto shopping," said Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial LLC. "Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield has just signed a long-term lease for one acre of land at 65 Commerce Dr.," said Angel, who represented both the landlord and tenant in the transaction. The land is adjacent to its new 15,000 s/f Mercedes-Benz dealership that is being transformed into a new Autohaus at 165 Commerce Dr. "This additional land will allow them to increase their lot to accommodate a larger inventory of cars and pre-owned sales," said Angel.
Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield is one of the largest authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers in Fairfield County and was recently designated by Mercedes-Benz USA as Connecticut's only AMG Performance Center for sales and servicing of Mercedes' AMG high-performance luxury vehicles.
The Penske Automotive Group, based in Bloomfield Hills in Michigan, owns Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield. The second largest publicly traded automotive retailer in the U.S. as measured by total revenue, Penske operates 158 franchises in the U.S. and 148 internationally. Since 2006, they have renovated two dealerships on Commerce Dr. including Porsche of Fairfield and Audi Fairfield. In 2008, they opened a new dealership for the Smart Car on Commerce Dr.
"The Porsche, Audi, Mercedes- Benz and Smart Car dealerships in Fairfield are all located on Commerce Dr. which is conveniently located off Exit 25 on I-95," said Angel. "Two acres of land remain available next to the new Mercedes-Benz dealership."
