Alvarado and Parsons of SVN | Parsons Commercial facilitate 16,516 s/f lease to Boston Wax Museum

Boston, MA SVN | Parsons Commercial Group | Boston completed a 16,516 s/f lease with Boston Wax Museum, LLC. Marci Alvarado and Jake Parsons of SVN | Parsons Commercial represented the tenant, Boston Wax Museum, LLC. The landlord, The Georgetown Companies, was represented by Jeremy Grossman of CBRE/Grossman Retail Advisors.

The Boston Wax Museum will be the first new museum to open in Boston in a long time. The museum is going to feature key individuals who have been integral to the history of the Commonwealth as well as others who have had an impact on our culture and society. The museum promises to be a true “experience” that everyone will thoroughly enjoy. The target opening is anticipated for sometime in late spring 2016.

The location of the building, which is just steps from City Hall, Faneuil Hall, and accessible to the Government Center  T Station, was essential to their decision to locate the museum at 1 Washington Mall. The entity that will operate the Boston Wax Museum is based in Brazil where they own and operate three successful wax museums as well as other entertainment venues.

“Our client is thrilled to have found the perfect home for the Boston Wax Museum,” said Alvarado. “The concept has been extremely well received by the landlord, the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (BID) and others in the City of Boston. Everyone involved is extremely excited about their decision to select Boston as the first city in the United States to open a museum. The museum will provide visitors with a high quality experience that will be both educational and entertaining.”

Vanderson Vendrame who is one of the principals of Boston Wax Museum said, “We are thrilled to be opening the museum in the heart of Boston close to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. Marci and Jake’s knowledge of the commercial real estate market and expertise helped this deal come to fruition. We could not be more pleased with the results.”
