AlliedCook and Richard Curtis & Assoc. complete 5-story addition to Coliseum Senior Residence

Within a rigorous 11-month schedule, AlliedCook recently completed the 5-story addition to the Coliseum Senior Residence. The addition provides for 40 new one-and-two bedroom, ADA compliant units for the 55+ community. Design was provided by Richard Curtis & Associates. In addition to the 40 units, the 39,000 s/f addition includes exercise and activity rooms, sitting areas and a library. The facility also features a community dining and kitchen area as well as a pergola-covered patio. AlliedCook also updated the mechanical systems and performed cosmetic renovations to the community spaces in the original building while fully occupied. Housing Initiatives of New England began in 1990 as a way to provide affordable housing options for seniors in New Hampshire and Maine. It is a nonprofit organization that currently owns 17 complexes, 14 of them throughout New Hampshire. Coliseum Senior Residence is managed by Stewart Property Management. Stewart manages affordable housing throughout Northern New England. In New Hampshire alone, it manages more than 70 residences in 38 communities. AlliedCook has been building excellence in New England since 1958. AlliedCook's experience includes new construction, LEED certified buildings, historical renovations and additions on a wide range of projects.
