Alliance Residential Wins Gold PRISM Award for The Cove

Hingham, MA According to Alliance Residential, The Cove Hingham has received a Gold 2020 PRISM Award and was named Best Universal Design by the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB).

In the design of The Cove, Alliance Residential and architecture firm CUBE 3 paid special attention to the architectural details that would entice residents seeking to enjoy a coastal lifestyle coupled with close proximity to the downtown area.

“We’re proud to accept the PRISM Award for Best Universal Design at The Cove and recognize CUBE 3’s outstanding contributions towards the receipt of this award and the design of this stunning community,” said Mike Boujoulian, managing director of Alliance Residential. “This award demonstrates Alliance’s commitment to our residents, and our desire to develop multifamily properties that offer floorplans and amenities that meet the needs and desires of our discerning residents.”

The Cove is a 220-unit, pet friendly property that includes two, four-story buildings overlooking a 484-acre nature preserve, Bare Cove Park. Residents have a private boardwalk that leads them from the pool and courtyard to the park. The main building boasts a two-story lobby, sky lounge, media lounge, clubroom, lounge/mail room, coworking space, fitness center and studio, community area, and storage.

Outside there is a pool and pool deck with courtyard and cabanas, fire pit, lounge chairs, grills and pizza oven, and tables for outdoor dining. The pet washing room is every pet owner’s dream. The parking area includes chargers for electric vehicles.

The buildings include one, two, and three-bedroom units each containing one or two bathrooms. When you enter each unit at The Cove you’ll first notice the ten foot ceilings, oversized windows, large walk-in closets and extra size and space in the home. Units include NEST thermostats, a gas range/oven, European-style cabinets, Casesarstone quartz countertops, Artisan tile backsplash, USB charging station, hardwood floors throughout the main living area, a full-sized washer and dryer and walk-in stall showers with spa-quality tile, with some units also offering soaking tubs. Open floorplans allow for ample mobility. Safety was also a top priority for The Cove, as climate-controlled garages are well-lit with control access. Secured bike storage is also available.

The Cove provides luxury, South Coast living with modern conveniences. Located across from the Hingham Shipyard and Marina, the property allows convenience to shops, restaurants, and entertainment just steps away. This location also permits convenient access to Boston without use of a car, with easy access to the MBTA commuter rail and ferry.

The PRISM Awards recognize the finest projects and outstanding achievements of builders, remodelers, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing/advertising firms, interior designers, and other professionals in the home building industry. PRISM award entries for Best Universal Design were judged on the design being usable, safe, and aesthetically pleasing to the greatest extent possible by everyone, regardless of their age, ability, or status in life.
