ACEC/MA names Hoyle Tanner as a Bronze Excellence Award winner

Amherst, MA The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Hoyle Tanner as a 2021 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award winner for their work on the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (UMass) utilities.

UMass hired Hoyle Tanner as prime for engineering services to evaluate infrastructure on approximately 10 acres on the campus. Hoyle Tanner delivered data-driven recommendations and designs to include schematic, preliminary/final design, and construction administration for landscaping, area lighting, electrical upgrades, steam upgrades, water upgrades, pedestrian improvements, parking garage membrane replacement and ADA accessibility review within the project area. The team of over 10 firms was able to effectively complete the fast-paced project on time and on budget, while students continued to move safely through the construction site.

The 2021 Engineering Excellence Awards were announced and will be celebrated at the virtual ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala. The awards celebrate innovation, ingenuity, and excellence in engineering achievement. Entries for the 2022 Spring Engineering Excellence awards are now available.

ACEC/MA is the business association of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island engineering industry, representing over 120 independent engineering companies engaged in the development of transportation, environmental, industrial, and other infrastructure. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Boston, ACEC/MA is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) based in Washington, DC. ACEC is a national federation of 51 state and regional organizations.
