teering committee presents a check to United States Marine Corps Reserve representing Toys for Tots

Manchester, NH The Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT Chapter’s Young Professionals Group (ABC YPG) hosted their annual charity bowling tournament at Yankee Lanes, selling out all 34 lanes with nearly 200 people in attendance. The ABC YPG selected Toys for Tots as this year’s charity recipient – a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.

The ABC YPG donated all proceeds to Toys for Tots from team registration fees, raffle ticket sales, donations from the construction industry companies in attendance, and event sponsorships – led by Kingpin sponsor Advanced Power and Controls, LLC based in Hooksett, N.H. – totaling $11,000 in cash and a large amount of toy donations from guests at the event.

In addition to the Kingpin sponsor, other event sponsors included Nobis Group, Specialty Services of New England, Hampshire Fire Protection, Granite Financial Partners, and Turnstone Corp. and raffle sponsor Team Engineering. Trophies were awarded for best team, worst team, and best dressed team.

The ABC YPG was founded on a mission to develop, empower, and connect young professionals through events in an effort to enhance their professional development and business success within the construction industry. In 2018, the ABC YPG expanded its efforts by hosting educational sessions, developing a scholarship fund, and awarding the organization’s first annual Young Professional of the Year honor at their annual September Social event.
