A&O Danner Companies builds 1,300 s/f store for No Rest for Bridget

When fashion boutiques want to get noticed in Boston, many choose a Newbury St. address. And when they want their shop to carry an image of quality, edginess and fashion, several clothing retailers are choosing A&O Danner Companies of Plymouth, Mass., a full-service general contracting company, to handle the buildout. According to Stephen Danner, president of A&O Danner, his most recent client, No Rest for Bridget based in Irvine, Calif., will be ready to open its 1,300 s/f shop at 220 Newbury St. in mid-March. This will be the small chain's first East Coast location. Danner is working with D2 Construction of Costa Mesa, Calif. He said, "We assisted with all the permit procurement in Boston, including with the Boston Fire Department. We bid against four other Boston-based contractors. Besides being competitive, we're able to give clients a good sense of comfort. Also, since we're technologically current, we can work with a project manager three time zones away, and still have an even, timely flow of information."
